Being a son of an entrepreneur, entrepreneurship is part of Robin’s DNA. He has a bachelor’s in Commerce from the Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi STMIK Mikroskil in Medan.Robin co-founded the speciality coffee shop Otten Coffee in October 2012 and expanded it into an online e-commerce platform for coffee lovers in April 2014. He is also the CEO of PT Agrinusa Mitra Kopindo where he has been working since May 2009.

A son of an entrepreneur, Jhoni Kusno is familiar with the world of entrepreneurship. Even though online business was new to the graduate from Mikroskil Medan, his passion for coffee inspired him to start a coffee supplies shop in January 2012. Long time Medan friend and college mate, Robin Boe joined his startup in October 2012 as a co-founder and joint CEO of Otten Coffee.

JoinHope Capital is a venture capital firm founded in 2010. Its focus is on early-stage investment in TMT companies. The portfolio of JoinHope includes 3W Coffee, Lagou.com, Carlife, etc.

Founded in 2009, Whales Capital is a venture capital firm under Dazheng Group, one of China’s leading coffee making equipment supplier. Right now, Whales Capital manages three funds, including a cultural industries fund that it co-founded with Ximalaya.

Edward Tirtanata is best known for establishing Kopi Kenangan, the popular grab-and-go coffee chain. Prior to that, however, the finance and accounting graduate from Northeastern University, USA, had established Lewis & Carroll, a premium establishment serving artisanal tea. Unfortunately, the brand struggled to grow among Indonesia's budget-conscious youths, who preferred the cheaper bubble tea. Learning from the experience, he decided to eschew the Starbucks-style “third home” retail concept and opted for grab-and-go stalls that are cheaper to establish, but without abandoning the quality of the coffee served. The concept proved to be a hit, and Tirtanata's new venture became a nationwide sensation.Aside from his role as CEO of Kopi Kenangan, Tirtanata is getting more deeply involved in the F&B startup ecosystem. In February 2020, he joined Gojek and startup ecosystem builder Digitaraya in establishing Digitarasa, a new accelerator program for F&B businesses.

Welly Huang is a web developer with a degree in Information Technology from STMIK Mikroskil, Indonesia. He started working as a web developer at Mikroskil while at university. After graduating in 2014, he established a web development agency CelsiusTech that was closed down a year later. Welly joined Kalvin Yap to develop rewards app Paprika and also worked for seven months as a development team lead at Medan’s e-tailer Otten Coffee in 2015.

Nanda Putra had been involved in the agriculture and F&B industries even as a student at Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia. Between 2009 and 2016, he ran his own arabica coffee plantation, opened two small restaurants and was CMO of a mushroom farm. In 2017, a year after graduating with a degree in Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture, he started Tanijoy. Originally conceived as an online marketplace for fresh produce, Tanijoy has since pivoted into an agri-investment platform.

Jonathan Neman is a co-founder and co-CEO of USA healthy-eating restaurant franchise Sweetgreen. As co-CEO, he has managed the salad chain since opening its first outlet in 2007, raising more than $470m in VC funding in the process. Neman is also an investor in various F&B startups, such as frozen food maker EatPops and Indonesian coffee chain Kopi Kenangan.
